The Ruggles heavy horse 100g turnout rug is tailored to fit larger breeds like the Shire, Clydesdale, and Percheron, offering extra depth at the sides and more space around the shoulder and chest. It's a standard rug, with a separate neck cover available if needed.
Manufactured from 1200D waterproof and breathable fabric (5000mm/5000g/m2/24hrs), the rug features a Teflon™ coating for added protection, minimizing staining and helping moisture to bead effectively. This also ensures the rug is lighter to handle in wet conditions.
This 100g 1200D rug is designed with a deep cut and generous chest space to fit broader horse builds comfortably. A soft nylon lining helps to prevent rubbing and keeps the coat smooth. Taped seams are included.
Features include cross surcingles with rubber washers to help prevent unfastening, a generous tail flap with a reflective strip, and detachable webbing leg straps for easy replacement if damaged. Double adjustable chest straps with D rings and robust trigger clips make the rug easy to put on and take off, complemented by a Velcro feature at the chest.
The rug offers generous shoulder gussets for freer movement and a wither protector for added comfort. Heavy-duty Velcro strips are available for attaching a neck cover as needed. Reflective strips are strategically placed at the chest, hindquarters, and tail flap for visibility.
